You can change it to something else once you are logged into your account. Do not forget to write laretraite (one word) in the box where they ask for ID Organization.
You also can download the free App available from App store or Google play to keep the book on your devices and read them offline. It is also available for Kindle by getting the free application Blue-fire Reader in the Kindle store.
After you download the app, in order to read books offline, you will have to create an Adobe ID - http://www.vlebooks.com/vleweb/Help/DigitalEditions - and use the same login details on all of your devices, laptop, smartphone, and tablet. And then you can have the same book you want to read in all of them.
