Extra-Curricular Activities


Morning Activities – 7:30am to 8:30am

EAL Extra Help & Homework Support, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

  • For EAL students to gain additional help completing their classwork and homework.



Lunchtime Activities – 12:30pm to 1:15pm

Homework Club, every day

  • For all students, to work on and print any homework, in a fully-stocked IT suite.


Year 7 Drama Club, on Mondays

  • Encourages students to co-operate and communicate effectively, whilst allowing the girls to build new friendships.


In the Library:

  • Monday – Drawing Club
  • Wednesday – Film Club, for ages 12 and up
  • Thursday – Games Club
  • Friday – Book Club



After School – 3:15pm to 4:15pm

Science Club, on Tuesdays

  • For Year 7 & 8 students to try out more adventurous practical Science work!


Debate Mate, for Years 7-10, on Tuesdays

  • An after-school Debate club for students in years 7-10. Students will learn public speaking and debating skills in preparation for competitions, including the Urban Debate League and the Debate Mate Cup.


Journalism Club, on Wednesdays

  • A fantastic opportunity for students to get involved with our partnership with the BBC. This is a chance for students to be creative and cover the issues which matter to them, ranging from local news to what is going on globally. If you want to put questions to MPs, musicians, sportsmen and women, police, authors, teachers, and students, then you need to get involved!


Homework Club, every day

  • For all students, to work on and print any homework, in a fully-stocked IT suite.


Drama Club, for Years 7-10, on Tuesdays

  • Besides exploring a variety of dramatic techniques, students improvise and shape their imaginative ideas into a Christmas performance which is shown at lunch-time.


Aim High Dance Academy, on Mondays

  • Works with students on musical theatre. This is particularly good for GCSE students who view a West End show in the autumn term.


Theatre Visits for Sixth Form Students

  • Extensive evening theatre visits take place for Sixth Form students. A plethora of different performances at the Young Vic inspired creative and evaluative work.


School Production, in the Spring and Summer Terms

  • Rehearsals for the School Production take place every Tuesday and Wednesday for the Drama and Music departments’ annual production.


Art Club, on Mondays and Wednesdays (until 21st November 2016)

  • An Art recyling project, making use of bottle caps in artwork.


Mandarin Club

  • Beginners - Thursdays in W1
  • Intermediate/Advanced - Thursdays in C3


Portuguese Club, 3:30pm to 5pm

  • Beginners, for Year 7 - Mondays
  • GCSE - Wednesdays
  • AS Level - Thursdays
