LA RETRAITE ALUMNI BOOK

We are putting together our very own La Retraite Alumni Book, featuring profiles of our exceptional former students and their outstanding achievements. We would like to showcase as many of our 'old girls' as we can. If you would like to be included, please send a high-resolution landscape photo and a short biography of yourself and your achievements to Ms Francis at efrancis@laretraite.lambeth.sch.uk

The deadline to be included in the Alumni Book is Thursday 31st January 2019.

LA RETRAITE ALUMNI PROGRAMME

We would like alumni to sign up to be a part of our alumni network so that they can continue to be a part of our school community. Benefits include:

  • Staying up to date with La Retraite news;
  • Receiving invitations to school events (coffee mornings, school productions, etc.);
  • The opportunity to give back to La Retraite by helping its current students (come in for a talk, offer work experience, or offer donations);
  • The chance to be reunited with other former students.

It doesn’t matter when you left school, whether you’re in further education or employment; whether you still live nearby or have moved further away we still want to keep in touch!

If you would like to join our Alumni Programme, please contact Mrs G Krolikowski, Admin Officer (Work Experience & Alumni) at gkrolikowski@laretraite.lambeth.sch.uk.

One of our most notable recent alumni is Fiona Asiedu, pictured below speaking at the British Embassy in Washington on her experience of studying at Harvard and the importance and value of the Fulbright Commission.

Fiona attended La Retraite from 2007 to 2014. From Year 7, we could tell that Fiona was a shining light, actively participating in the School Council amongst other things. Fiona achieved A*’s and A’s in all of her GCSEs, and went on to study 4 A Levels in the Sixth Form: Maths, Drama, Economics and Psychology.

Fiona’s work ethic from Year 7 to Year 13 meant she achieved the top grades needed to secure a place at the University of Oxford to read Psychology. At Oxford, Fiona excelled, achieving the top dissertation in her year group.

Fiona’s determination to make a difference was recognised when she won a scholarship to complete an MA at Harvard University. Now, Fiona works for a top City firm, PWC, as HR Transformation Associate.

Fiona is a true example of a model La Retraite student.
